Apr 8th, 2008 | TEHRAN, Iran — President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced major progress in Iran’s push for nuclear power, saying Tuesday that his nation was installing thousands of new uranium-enriching centrifuges and testing a much faster version of the device.
Ahmadinejad said scientists were putting 6,000 new centrifuges into place, about twice the current number, and testing a new type that works five times faster.
Diplomats close to the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency say Iran has exaggerated its progress and seen problems operating the 3,000 centrifuges already in place. One diplomat said Ahmadinejad’s claims of a more advanced centrifuge appeared to allude to a type known as the IR-2, which the agency and Iran said months ago that Iran had begun testing.
While expressing concern that Iran continued to defy a U.N. Security Council ban on enrichment, a diplomat said that Ahmadinejad’s announcement “seems to be little more than a publicity stunt.” He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment publicly.

“people revolt for justice on EDSA 1
the world tolerated EDSA 2
but the world will not forgive another EDSA 3 “
similar to what GMA said, its very true
there is political instability here in the Philippines, money and power ruled the politicians mindset. an attraction for power for the next presidential election next 2010. where are all the good men? the government system here in the Philippines is obviously corrupt! the following are some mainpoints of what some might need to lookout:
- all politicians are sinners, greedy and always has kickback (fact)
- there is no check and balance, if there is one, he’s afraid of his duty and might as well paid not to do his job
- no bidding for any projects
- no transparency
- most or all politicians are b**c**s, GMA is highly competent enough to rule the country (who would be qualified to rule if she steps down before his term ends? NDC? kabayan?! ) as long he doesnt talk on cue
- people are tired of EDSA, those who see better would try to calm down the people and wait for the next one
- Lozada is a good whistle blower, as long as he doesn’t absorb too much O2 to his brain
- there must be a committee for check and balance in each committee and every provincial sits
- federalism is good just like the States (we are already bought from the states but of poor management)
- there is someone responsible for all of this shindigs
- more to say right after EDSA 4…will be right back kabayan!

i agree with harvey keh is saying or his opinion regarding the politics here in the Philippines. I also love my country but is it time for Filipinos to wake up or be aware of whats happening in our country? i may not be totally supportive to the arroyo administration but i believe shes doing her work righteously but lack of justice.
